Because the Ahlstrom refill features a small pore size for high-level pathogen removal (>99.99%), it has a lower flow rate and requires more suction than standard carbon filters.
Initial Preparation: Always wash the refill thoroughly with water (or flush with high pressure for 30–60 seconds) before using it for the first time. The stainless steel bottle body and most components are dishwasher safe up to a maximum of 50°C, except for the filter refill itself.
