Breville electric kettle.
Bought this kettle about two weeks ago really quite when heating up it is wide and best of all the lid comes off so no chance of spilling water when filling up with a jug i recommend this kettle 👌.

Good quality, good water capacity, a limescale filter all part of a decent cost. Easy to find in catalogue, and am very pleased with the kettle.

Just OK
This kettle is OK , it's plastic lined when I'm used to having glass kettles but I smashed my last one. Leaves a weird plastic taste in your mouth and limescale sticks to it much more than previous kettles

Lift-off lid makes it easy to descale
I chose this because it has a removable lid. Our water is very hard, and limescale gets into the mechanism of flip-up lids, causing them to seize up or fail - this one is easy to clean and descale. It is shiny and looks smart, but feels plasticky as soon as you hold it. It is reasonably ergonomic - pretty comfortable to hold and well balanced to pour. The kettle is larger than many, and not unbalanced even when full. It is pretty quiet.

Works for me
Very pleased with this kettle so far. It wouldn’t have been my first choice of model but it was immediately available at my local store. It has quite a chunky appearance and I’m not overly keen on the textured surface but, after a few days of being in use, I have come to appreciate how much quieter it is than my old Breville kettle, how much easier it is to sit the lid in place ,as well as it having good ‘balance’ when pouring. All in all a pretty good kettle and I no longer notice what it looks like!

No, the exterior of the Breville VKT017 Curve Kettle is not cool touch; it gets hot during use.
Thanks for using Q&A
Breville VKT117 kettle is supplied with a white power cord and plug.
The heating element is concealed inside the kettle itself, not in the separate base. The base simply provides the electrical connection to power the kettle.
Hi Richard! Thanks so much for getting in touch. The Breville Curve Kettle is available in black, grey, and white – all with chrome accents. Unfortunately, there isn’t a cream and chrome version in this range at the moment.
