About this product
Fill up for hot drinks whenever you need and enjoy fast results. The Breville VKT017 Curve Kettle in Black and Chrome offers powerful 3000W rapid boiling with a 1.7 litre capacity, enough for 6-8 cups to serve the family or yourself. The rear water window helps fill accurately without overfilling, while illuminated controls make it easy to use in low light. The removable, washable limescale filter keeps water tasting clean and extends kettle life. The 360-degree cordless base lets you lift and place it from any angle, whether left or right-handed.
The gloss black finish with chrome accents looks smart on any worktop, and the cord storage underneath keeps everything tidy. At 1kg when empty and with a 0.7m cable, it's easy to position where you need it without stretching to the socket. You'll get a reassuring 1-year manufacturer's guarantee included too.

Quiet.
It's very quiet compared to my old one. Got the same kettle (more or less) because the other one was 10 years old when it conked out. Excellent value for money.

Lovely design and colour
Lovely stylish electric jug kettle. Handle is easy for me to hold as I suffer from Arthritis in my right hand. A lovely off white colour which looks great in my kitchen. Boils quickly and easy to see water level so only need to use whats needed.

Hello there,
Breville VKT017 Curve Kettle - Black and Chrome.
No, the exterior of the Breville VKT017 Curve Kettle is not cool touch; it gets hot during use.
Thanks for using Q&A
Breville VKT117 kettle is supplied with a white power cord and plug.
The heating element is concealed inside the kettle itself, not in the separate base. The base simply provides the electrical connection to power the kettle.
Hi Richard! Thanks so much for getting in touch. The Breville Curve Kettle is available in black, grey, and white – all with chrome accents. Unfortunately, there isn’t a cream and chrome version in this range at the moment.
The internal base of the kettle, where the water comes into contact, is made from food-grade stainless steel. The inner walls are made from BPA-free plastic. All materials used in our kettles comply with relevant food safety standards and regulations.
