Bought this a week ago, no particular research. My previous kettle broke in the morning and I needed a new one. It was on offer and I am glad it was - looks good, fairly quiet and boils quickly. Easy to view level/cups and no limescale yet.

Lovely looking kettle.
Although I like the design of this kettle, I find it difficult to manage when full. I need to hold it with both hands & it is a bit noisy . That's why.I haven't given max stars.

The heating element is concealed inside the kettle itself, not in the separate base. The base simply provides the electrical connection to power the kettle.

The internal base of the kettle, where the water comes into contact, is made from food-grade stainless steel. The inner walls are made from BPA-free plastic. All materials used in our kettles comply with relevant food safety standards and regulations.
