Simply Brilliant
Dimplex never fails! It looks fab and the heat it belts out is incredible. Easy onset too, now I can have it on my iPhone and control the settings via blue tooth. It also has a 7 day setting which is a doddle to set up Thank you!

Brilliant portable convector heater
We live in an old draughty Victorian semi and have tried a variety of electric heaters. This one is sleek easy to operate and rapidly warms up whichever room we are using.

Good heater
Good for heating up room quickly and keeping temperature at heat setting. Downside is the Bluetooth connection as you have to be right beside the heater to work it.

Hello Shm.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Dimplex ML3BTA 3kW Bluetooth Convector Heater:
These heaters are not designed as main source heating, they are back up heaters for central heating therefore, occasional use. Yes using the heater for a few hours at a time is ok.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hello Lindy,
Yes, the ML3BTA 3kW Bluetooth Convector Heater can be plugged into any plug. The item can be used manually or with the app.
Thank you for using Q&AA.
Hi Georgie, Thank you for your question. This product is designed for supplementary heating. There is no specific area space this heater will heat, this would be dependant on property heat loss factors. Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Lexy, thank you for your enquiry. This is dependent on the settings on the heater, the insulation and heat retention of the property. The maximum this can use per hour is your unit rate multiplied by 3, however the thermostat will click off the heating when not required. Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
Hi, The wall mounted depth is 117mm as per the instructions.
Thank you for your enquiry, no there is no fan it is just convection, I hope this is of help.
Thank you for your enquiry, these heaters should be nearly silent in operation, it sounds like this heater has developed a fault, please return to the retailer for an exchange it within the first year of purchase.

Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Masie,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Dimplex ML3BTA 3kW Bluetooth Convector Heater: This more frequently occurs (but not exclusively) on 3kW products as the current is near the max rating of the fuse and the plug.
Root Cause: Not all plug reported issues are because the plug is the root cause, and those below must be always considered carefully but particularly when the failure is relating to a plug which is not being used on a 3kW product.
Other possible causes are: Product being used for anything other than occasional use and not continual use (From instructions: As with all portable heating appliances: This product is suitable only for well insulated spaces or occasional use)
Faulty (loose contact between socket and plug pins) 13A socket
Used with an extension lead
Plug Related: Loose connections
Connections overtightened
Cut strands to internal connectors
Fake fuse
Underrated fuse
Actions: Check usage ā ensure only being used for occasional use in well insulated spaces.
Ensure not being used on extension lead
Ensure the cable on product is completely unwound from any cable tidy
Hope this helps.
