Product looked okay but due to a similar product breaking easily it was returned without being opened and exchanged for a metal pole.

Yes, the Home White Wooden Fixed Curtain Pole - 240cm can be cut to size. As this pole is supplied in two 120cm sections, make equal cuts on each of the outer section of the poles which will then be covered by the finials, otherwise the centre joint would be offset.
