The supplier has confirmed The Argos Home White Wooden Fixed Curtain Pole - 240cm fix together with a double ended screw and would be strong enough for most curtains.

The Argos Home Wooden Curtain Pole e - 300cm comes in 2 sections with a fixing screw to hold the two 1.5 m poles together. The poles can be cut to suit a smaller window width.
