Great looking item
Delivery very quick. But unable to put on wall , my husband drilled the holes for the brackets to hang the awning , the brackets wouldn't hold into the wall ? Phoned Argos who told me to contact the manufacturer, they casually told me "Oh the awning is not designed to be attached to a breeze block wall" so beware if you have a breeze block wall DONT BOTHER .

On checking I can see this weatherproof not waterproof. The 300gm polyester provides effective protection against both sun and showers.

When it rains, you can leave the Greenhurst Berkeley Garden Awning - 2.5m extended to shield your outdoor area. However, if you prefer, you can retract it back in when not in use. The choice depends on your personal preference and the intensity of the rain.
Remember that the awning can easily be removed from the brackets for winter storage.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Greenhurst Berkeley Garden Awning - 2.5m: The winding handle is located on the left side of the awning and can not be moved.

Yes however, the fixings supplied are for masonry only. Any other surface you would need to source alternative fixings that are suited to that type of walling.

The fixings that we supply are not designed for breezeblock, they are for masonry only due to the design and the way they expand into the wall.
You can fix it to alternative surfaces, however, would need to source alternative fixings that are suited to that type of walling. You'd also need to speak to a qualified professional to ensure that the location was strong enough to take the weight of this item when mounted.

The supplier has advised the following for the Greenhurst Berkeley Garden Awning - 2.5m:
"The item comes supplied with fixings suitable for masonry work only.
We have had customer attach to the item to alternative materials, however they would need to source different bolts for this as well as thinking into a spreader plate, making sure that the location is suitable to take the weight of the item – around 18kg for this model."

Our supplier says "An average suggested fitting height is approx. 8’6” (260cm) above ground level, however this is dependent upon personal preference, the space available, and the desired pitch / angle of depression.
The desired pitch / angle of depression can be set anywhere between horizontal and 40 degrees"
