I bought 2 of these one for me and the other for my partner. He put his on the wall and the picture is crystal clear. The 58in screen, in my opinion, is perfect. I have not used mine yet as I will be moving home soon

No access to BBC iplayer (as at 20 October 2026)
Really happy with the picture quality. If you are not wall mounting it then the feet are really sturdy and push-fit without needing any fixings. Comes with two remotes - the second is for if you wish to use features like voice control via Alexa. I don't like... 1. assumption that everyone can set up the TV via smartphone scanning of a QR code and using an online Samsung account. 2. As of today (20 Oct 26) this model of TV, and other 2026 model Samsung TVs do not have the BBC iplayer app built in or access to downloading it. Samsung help forums say it will come 'soon' via a software update and they are working with BBC on it.

It's a great TV at a good price but has quirks
Great TV - there are some small annoyances stopping it from being 5 stars, despite the great value at this price: there's no aux out for regular speakers (but the eARC HDMI works with modern soundbars). Also there is no app for BBC iPlayer, although that's the BBC's fault for being [censored]. Finally it always seems to go straight to American Idol when we turn it on...don't know what that is about and maybe there's a way to stop it tuning straight into the channel that it always seems to be on, but it's not obvious. Could probably benefit from clear simple instruction manual.

Great value for money TV but no BBC Iplayer app installed. When looked into this it states on some of the new models there’s no function for it which I’ve never know. Fortunately it’s for my elderly parent who doesn’t mind but a bit inconvenient

When we bought this back in June, nothing we did would make iPlayer install - we checked for software updates, followed all the ideas suggested on this page and elsewhere, nothing made any difference. We were able to watch iPlayer only by using the Cast function from iPlayer installed on a mobile phone, which was a pain because it stopped working at inconvenient times. However, recently about 4 months later, iPlayer has appeared and now seems to work. Very unreliable. Not recommended.
