Freeview Poor
Listing says the TV is fully Freeview which is untrue! You can not get BBC as the TV Model does not support this app. Apparently you can get an upgrade on the software, but this is not explained how and where. It’s a shame as we have had a Samsum TV for well over 20 years.

A Great TV but with a few Apps missing.
The Upside of the TV is of a great design, very light and the Brightness and Contrast of the Screen is Paramount. It also has Uniformity,Upscaling and Responsiveness. The Downside of the TV is that it doesn’t Support discovery+ and also BBC iPlayer the only way you can get these at Present is through an external source such as a Amazon Firestick which was a bit disappointing as it stated on the Site we went on to Buy the TV that it did. Apart from that ENJOY the remaining Benefits of the TV.

I bought this last week. The biggest thing I will say is that it fitted snugly into my previous bracket for my 49 inch TV. contrast brightness is good. It was easy to tune in and use. Apps are clearly identified and to access. Highly Recommended

Bbc I player problem
Very happy with brightness of pictures and like responsiveness. DO NOT like that we cannot receive bbc iplayer, this is a channel we used a lot. Are you able to install this? Would consider changing the television for a different make if you are not installing it. Do you have a time when you think it might be installed or is the answer never?

No BBC I Player
Rather disappointed with our new TV as it doesn’t have BBC I Player available as standard . I wish this had been pointed out somewhere before I bought it as I probably would have gone for a different make if I had known . Not gods enough Samsung

The supplier has advised the following for the: Samsung 55 Inch UE55U8000HKXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR Crystal TV does not require an One Connect Box, and one is not supplied with this model as a standard accessory. The TV is designed with its connections (HDMI, USB, aerial, etc.) integrated directly into the television.
The One Connect Box is only included with selected Samsung TV ranges and models. It is not a feature of the UE55U8000FK Crystal UHD series.

If the TV is being placed on a TV unit, we would recommend ensuring the surface can comfortably accommodate the stand and the overall size of the television. The TV itself measures approximately 166.8 cm wide.

The supplier has advised the following for the Samsung 55 Inch UE55U8000HKXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR Crystal TV:
The UE55U8000HKXXU includes a Digital Audio Out (Optical) connection for connecting compatible audio equipment.
This model does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. Customers can instead connect compatible Bluetooth headphones, as the TV supports Bluetooth audio connectivity.
With regard to the power cable position, we are unable to provide a definitive confirmation as the location of individual ports and connections is not detailed within our published specifications. However, on many UK Samsung TV models, the power connection is typically located towards the rear left-hand side of the TV when viewed from the front. As layouts can vary between models, we would not recommend relying on this as a guaranteed position for the UE55U8000HKXXU.

The supplier has advised for the Samsung 43 Inch UE43U8000HKXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR Crystal TV: The Samsung TV model (UE43U8000FKXXU) is not strictly incompatible with BBC iPlayer, but the native Tizen smart platform frequently experiences compatibility issues, missing apps, and crashing.
Recommended Fixes
If you are experiencing app glitches or error codes like Error 2100, try these steps in order:
Hard Reboot the TV: Turn the TV on, press and hold the power button on the actual TV (usually under the logo) for 5 seconds, or unplug the TV from the wall for 60 seconds. This clears the cache.
Update the Firmware: Go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now to ensure your TV is running the latest operating system.
Reinstall the App: Navigate to the BBC iPlayer app in the Smart Hub, delete it, and download it again
