I bought this based on the fact that the description stated it had all the usual channels installed. This is a lie, BBC is not included despite specifically saying it is.

No Sound With Firestick
This television doesn’t work properly with my fire stick no sound comes from the television when I try using the fire stick.

Do not buy if you want to watch TV
Very poor - TV is incompatible with BBC iplayer and so you cannot watch mainstream broadcast TV programmes without inconvenient workarounds. This is apparently true for all Samsung 2026 models because the software is incompatible with the BBC app. I am furious that it is legal to sell a device that is so far from being fit for purpose. Only buy if you are planning to not watch TV at all, I am sure it's fine if you only watch DVDs or other non-broadcast media. You can get BBC programmes through the "browser" app by going to the BBC website but it then crashes every 5 minutes due to memory overload. Or you can get an inconvenient separate settop box or plugin so that you can't control it from the same remote. Have contacted Samsung who admit they have no idea when their products will become fit for purpose again. Picture quality on gaming is good.

The supplier has advised for the Samsung 43 Inch UE43U8000HKXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR Crystal TV: The Samsung TV model (UE43U8000FKXXU) is not strictly incompatible with BBC iPlayer, but the native Tizen smart platform frequently experiences compatibility issues, missing apps, and crashing.
Recommended Fixes
If you are experiencing app glitches or error codes like Error 2100, try these steps in order:
Hard Reboot the TV: Turn the TV on, press and hold the power button on the actual TV (usually under the logo) for 5 seconds, or unplug the TV from the wall for 60 seconds. This clears the cache.
Update the Firmware: Go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now to ensure your TV is running the latest operating system.
Reinstall the App: Navigate to the BBC iPlayer app in the Smart Hub, delete it, and download it again
