The sturdy blades can deal with ice cubes easily. The thermal-shock resistant glass jar is durable and doesn’t hold smell from different ingredients. The blade is detachable from the bottom which is easier for washing.

Does what it’s supposed to
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is ok it’s quite noisy and it’s also a bit of a pain when Fixing jug on and taking lid of its more complicated as it’s harder to do … the different settings aren’t that different in speeds and the pulse isn’t much different but it does what it needs to do … the jug being glass is very heavy aswell

It is actual glass, which is a bonus, every part comes off so it's amazingly easy to clean and easy to assemble back on. The supplier has advised the following for the Tefal Blendforce II 1.75L Glass Jug Blender:
The product is not a soup maker and is not a blender for boiling liquids above 80 degrees centigrade. So, whilst it’s not suitable for making soups, it can take hot liquids in as long as they’re below 80 degrees centigrade. The supplier says that they would never recommend that a consumer place liquid that is above 80 degrees.

As this answer has come directly from the supplier it would be correct that it is not recommended to use anything hot in this mixer. If you wanted to make soup it would need blending before heating.
