Amazing little speaker with some punch
This little speaker packs so much sound into a small space. Amazing sound quality and great bass. Love the idea of rhe link feature. Batter life so far is great and lasts a long time. Love that is waterproof so great when im working outdoors so can have so music on when working. Its a solid little unit very durable and a great little investment .highly recommended

Best small speaker i ever had
The JBL Go 5 is the perfect little speaker to take with me wherever I go. Its compact size means it easily fits into my bag without taking up much space, but the sound quality is what really surprised me. The audio is clear and enjoyable, with more than enough volume for listening at home or outdoors. Connecting it to my device is quick and straightforward, which is another thing I really like. The battery life is also impressive and lasts much longer than I expected from such a small speaker. I haven’t personally tested its water or rain resistance yet, but it’s reassuring to know that it has that extra protection. Overall, it’s a brilliant portable speaker and one I’m happy to carry around with me.

Fantastic small speaker even better if you fine tune the EQ I was very surprised by it ,I bought a second one just to link them together and the sound that comes out of these small things are fantastic

Fantastic product
I I was just looking for something handy and lightweight, what I got exceeded all expectations. It’s simple to use, easy to transport and has crisp detailed sound. The battery lasts ages, I charged once on a one week holiday. Love the fact it’s waterproof and just adds to the durability. Would 100% recommend

Bang for Buck!
Purchased the JBL GO 5 recently and really pleased with the overall quality of the product. The sound is amazing for such a small speaker and does a great job filling a small to medium size room. It also seems well built and durable. I have had loads of JBL products in the past and have never been disappointed. Honestly so worth it because it’s so portable, great for outdoors, indoors all year round. Other good things about this product is the battery life and the ability to connect so quickly with your phone and with other JBL go 5s!

So glad I got this, love the fact its so pocket size it can go anywhere, battery is good, the sound is amazing and being able to aura cast is so cool, my son loves it also, he uses it whilst training. Highly recommended.

JBL Go 5 honest review
Bought just over a week ago. Came very quickly. I was impressed with the compact packaging. You could use it straight out of the box. Turned it on and it was connected to my phone in under 5 seconds. Downloaded the app and there was an update. No USB-C cable in the box, luckily we have an abundance in our household. The speaker is very robust and compact. I was playing music through it the other day when my son said "that is very loud". For its size it is very loud. Battery usage - I have not had it on the go for the full 5 recommended hours of usage that it can supposedly give but in stints and bursts of 20 - 30 minutes and when checking with the app, each time there was 10% battery depletion. I really do like the idea of the integrated lights but feel they would have been better RGB as opposed to solid white and they don't align to the music being played, at this price point though it is not a deal breaker. I am a bit concerned about placing the speaker in water due to the USB-C charging point not being covered. I am sure it would be fine but that just plays on my mind. Overall not a bad little speaker to take out and about. Would I buy it again, at this price point yes.

Small but mighty - an excellent travel speaker!
I've had previous JBL Go small travel speakers before and bought this having left my Go 4 at home and needing a speaker while travelling. Although an unplanned expense I'm really happy with the speaker. Its sound quality is superb, a small but comparatively mighty little unit that has clear upper end with enough bass to give it depth without distortion at high volume. JBL's app is handy too, especially for deactivating the 'disco light' that pulses when in use.

No, our JBL Go 5 does not have a traditional 3.5mm AUX port. However it supports USB-C audio playback. This allows us to play lossless audio through a direct wired USB-C connection to compatible devices (like a smartphone, tablet, or computer), in addition to wireless Bluetooth streaming. To enable this, you need a USB Type-C end to end cable, insert one end on your device and on the speaker while holding the Play button.
Yes, our JBL Go 5 is showerproof. It has an IP68 rating which makes it completely dustproof and waterproof, allowing it to easily handle shower spray, heavy splashes, and even full submersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Just make sure to let it dry for a few hours before charging it. You may use a compressed air or let it sit in an open space.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Go 5 does not have a feature where the memory card can be used. However, this speaker supports lossless USB-C audio and it requires compatible lossless audio content from supported apps/ services.
Thanks for your question. In an effort to reduce electronic waste, our JBL GO 5 and many of our newer models no longer include a charging cable in the box. The unit is compatible with any standard USB-C cable you may already have from other devices.
