Fantastic little speaker with big sound. I have had the pleasure of being able to take this away a couple of times so far and it absolutely does the job. I’m very happy with my purchase. This speaker is easy to use, nice and compact to fit in travel bag, the connection with my phone is instant with no connection issues. The sound is pretty decent for a speaker of the size. I can’t leave home without it.

I’ve been testing out a pair of JBL Go speakers for the past few weeks. Right out of the box, the packaging gives off a high-end, premium vibe. It doesn't come with a charging cable, but that’s hardly a drawback since it works with any standard USB-C cord. The design itself is incredibly sharp, and the built-in lights on the top and bottom are a fantastic feature. Thanks to the JBL app, tweaking the lighting is a breeze—whether you want a steady glow or a light show that syncs with your music. Performance-wise, the audio quality blew me away. I blast all kinds of genres, and the playback remains perfectly crisp, even when cranking up the volume. Syncing the two devices is seamless and completely elevates the experience, making it perfect for enjoying stereo sound out on the patio. This product is absolutely worth buying!

I’ve got numerous JBL speakers, from Clip to Partybox. They all have their purpose, but the small speakers like the GO5 are used the most. I take it with me when going to the garage, take it with us on holiday, and use it in the garden to play background music during BBQs. It’s a small speaker, so don’t expect punchy bass, but overall it sounds very good and clear, and has great battery life. It’s IP rated, so light rain isn’t a problem. It connects to the phone without any problem, and you can also interconnect other JBL speakers in the app and play music from all of them at the same time.

JBL GO 5 a great little speaker
JBL Go 5, a great little speaker!!. I purchased this to replace an old portable speaker that I have used for several years. This is a massive upgrade in terms of sound quality and provides a mix of high and bass audio. The waterproof rating is reassuring and the device itself appears solid and is a compact size. The battery is 10/10 and seems to last well and whilst I have only used for a few weeks I have only charged once so far with occasional usage. Pairing was easy and the JBL app provides some customisation with light functioning which appear a fun addition, although I would prefer JBL to combine apps as I also have several pairs of JBL headphones that require a separate app to adjust settings. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend to others.

Wow! This is a fantastic little budget speaker that doesn’t skimp on quality. The build is fantastic, solid, feels nice and looks good. I love how portable this thing is! Fits easily in the palm of my hand and light enough to carry around in my bag. I’m so shocked at how good this little thing sounds. Love that it’s USB C, love that it’s waterproof and love how easy it is to connect to my devices. Battery performance 10/10 a good 8 hours on mid volume. Very happy with my purchase.

For such a compact speaker, the sound quality and bass response are remarkably impressive, easily filling a room or an outdoor spot with rich audio. One of its standout features is how effortless it is to take anywhere. Combined with a solid battery life, it’s the ultimate grab-and-go companion for daily use. Customization is another strong point: when using a single speaker, the companion app offers a great range of settings to tune the audio to your liking. Pairing multiple speakers via Auracast is ridiculously easy and seamless. However, it's worth noting that when linked to a second speaker, the sound profile shifts slightly and can sound a bit treble-heavy or sharp compared to the warmer tone of a standalone unit. Visually, the default flickering light effects can be quite distracting. Fortunately, JBL made it simple to freeze the lights or turn them off completely, which is a welcome feature. Verdict: Despite a minor shift in audio balance when paired, the JBL Go 5 offers incredible portability, strong battery performance, and surprisingly punchy sound. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone needing high-quality audio on the move

No, our JBL Go 5 does not have a traditional 3.5mm AUX port. However it supports USB-C audio playback. This allows us to play lossless audio through a direct wired USB-C connection to compatible devices (like a smartphone, tablet, or computer), in addition to wireless Bluetooth streaming. To enable this, you need a USB Type-C end to end cable, insert one end on your device and on the speaker while holding the Play button.
Yes, our JBL Go 5 is showerproof. It has an IP68 rating which makes it completely dustproof and waterproof, allowing it to easily handle shower spray, heavy splashes, and even full submersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Just make sure to let it dry for a few hours before charging it. You may use a compressed air or let it sit in an open space.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Go 5 does not have a feature where the memory card can be used. However, this speaker supports lossless USB-C audio and it requires compatible lossless audio content from supported apps/ services.
Thanks for your question. In an effort to reduce electronic waste, our JBL GO 5 and many of our newer models no longer include a charging cable in the box. The unit is compatible with any standard USB-C cable you may already have from other devices.
