Telescopic shower rail
I purchased two of these rails and when extending to my desired length they were very unstable and bent at the section where the two parts join, and not only that the rubberised ends were not soft enough to get a grip on the tiles and stop it sliding down the wall.

Solid pole, good quality
Great pole, very sturdy. It took a few tries and a bit of fiddling to get it into the right position to stay up but once I found the right position it hasn't moved. I open and close the curtains regularly and it feels solid. It goes across the whole room without and dipping in the middle.

As the shower rail is extendable, there are two pole sizes for this product, one is 19mm diameter, another one is 22mm diameter. So the pole rings diameter must be larger than 22mm.

The Home 140-260cm Telescopic Rail and Ring Set is designed to be adjustable without the need for cutting. The minimum length it can be adjusted to is 140cm. Unfortunately, it won't fit a 112cm gap as it cannot be shortened beyond 140cm.

Although, this has been primarily designed for use as a shower rail it could be repurposed for lightweight curtains like voile, as long as the weight of the curtains does not exceed the rail's capacity.
If you need a more robust solution specifically for window curtains, you might want to consider a curtain rod designed for that purpose.
