Shower rail - slightly flimsy
It was the cheapest option as I wasn't sure it would work in the space I needed it to. Happy enough with it, though if knocked it does fall down, doesn't grip as much as I'd like, but for the price it's good enough.

Not fit for purpose
Unable to use as the ends that should stick to the tiles were too hard and slippery so the whole thing would not stay up. Too cheap.

Does the job
Couldn't get the rail to stay up as others found when I first followed the instructions. However, ended up making it a little longer than needed and then use the spring mechanism to wedge it into place. Its managed to stay put for ages now with weighty drapes, fairy lights, florals, and photos hanging off it as a backdrop for an event

Shower curtain pole
I had to return this shower curtain pole because it would not tighten up when extended. Not as good quality as my previous one purchased from Argos some 20 years ago.

This product was exactly what I needed. It was easy to install and has stayed up and in place very well. The rail fits my shower curtain hooks perfectly and they run along smoothly so the diameter of the rail will fit all hooks.

The supplier has advised the following for the Home 140-260cm Telescopic Rail - Black:
“ To extend the rod quickly, let the rod hang down from your hand while holding the small tube. The large tube can then spin downward easily.
Turn the tubes in opposite directions to make the rod longer or shorter.
Once the end caps are touching your walls, turn the rod 3 or 4 more times to tighten the rod into place. ”

As the shower rail is extendable, there are two pole sizes for this product, one is 19mm diameter, another one is 22mm diameter. So the pole rings diameter must be larger than 22mm.
