I bought this shower rail to replace a screen that looked shabby. I put it in place and it fell down after a couple of days which was probably down to my instalation rather than the rail. I found that extending it at an angle with one end of it in the correct position then pushing the other end to where that wants to be gives the rail a nice tight fit. As the shower rail is extendable, there are two pole sizes for this product, one is 19mm diameter, another one is 22mm diameter. So the pole rings diameter must be larger than 22mm.

The Home 140-260cm Telescopic Rail and Ring Set is designed to be adjustable without the need for cutting. The minimum length it can be adjusted to is 140cm. Unfortunately, it won't fit a 112cm gap as it cannot be shortened beyond 140cm.
