Great new gadget
Working in a nursery I find myself cutting up 100’s of pieces of paper to create display boards, for files or for resources. This hand little gadget has cut my work load time making it easier to cut through handfuls of paper quickly and easily. Gadget does get harder to cut if you apply too many pieces of paper but with extra force it cuts nicely.

Home paper trimmer.
This home paper trimmer came boxed well. It's not too big so very easy to store. I got this for my daughter to use. It cuts well and is easy to use, but we found that you do have to put quite a bit of pressure on all the way across and my daughter found this tricky with more than one piece of paper at a time. It was hit and miss sometimes as to whether it cut or not if using more than one piece of paper at a time. Overall it does the job and makes cutting quicker and is alot straighter than doing it by hand.

Cut paper and time
Great item once you know how. I couldnt figure it out at first but once i got the hang it i was impressed with the performance. I need a lot of papers cutting and labels cutting to size, now i know how this reduced the time to literally seconds. Also has come in very handy for crafts with my daughter too! So useful both for work and crafts. Doesnt take up much space either which is an added bonus.

Great paper cutter
This Fellowes Paper Trimmer is alot sturdier than my previous one, but not too heavy. It is easily moved & has little plastic feet to protect your work surface & keep it steady. The straight cutting blade is not visible until you press the orange press button & then you have to look for it. The blade cuts along the dotted line, so it is easy to correctly position where you want your paper cut. Pressing down on the flap lowers the bar to secure the paper in position, thus making it easier to cut. There are several different measurements to help you position your paper. You can purchase extra cutting blades, wave, perforated & fold. There are 3 storage slots in the bottom of the machine to safely store these cutting cartridges. It would have been nice to include the wave blade.

Excellent Cutter
I’m well impressed with this Fellows Neutron paper cutter and is excellent for my crafting, the blade just glides through giving you perfect clean cut edges, it’s great for my newly found card making hobby and also for trimming photos I print off, no more having to turn the edges in. It so easy to change the blades just at the flick of a switch. The clamp holds your paper secure for when you’re sliding the cutter across, I love that you can cut up to 10 sheets making it quicker and easier when needing several sheets of paper/card the same size. It’s not heavy and easy to store. You can purchase additional blades and there is storage space for these, the cutting blade is tucked away inside a cartridge making it safe for you. Overall it’s very well made and I’d recommend for all you crafters out there.

Blades cut beautifully
As someone who does a lot of different arts and crafts, this has proven to be an amazing addition to my collection. The blade glides beautifully and I love the fact that you can swap it out for different blades at the flick of a switch. Spare blades can also be stored in the slots at the side which is a bonus feature. The cutter is really well made without being too heavy. I can see many happy hours of crafting with this!

Multi purpose paper trimmer
The paper cutter i didnt know i needed. This is very well manufactured, the push down handle is clear and palm sized which makes sliding it easier. The cutting blade is in a protected cartridge. It cut smoothly and handled several sheets like a pro. The part that makes it a game changer is the ability to buy extra cutting blades - wavy, perforated& fold with built in storage. This makes it an extra item for crafting.

Excellent trimmer for home craft projects
The Fellows Neutron paper trimmer is ideal for craft projects, also for card making and trimming photos. The cutting blade is hidden inside a cartridge and is only exposed to the paper when you push down on the yellow lever, making this cutter much safer than others on the market. There is a clamp to hold the paper still which you hold down while sliding the cutter across the paper. It does only come with the straight cutting blade but you can purchase a wavy blade, useful for card making, and also a blade to make perforations. There are storage spaces at the end of the unit to store these which is a great idea as not only does it keep them handy but will save them from getting lost. It is a shame they aren't included in the basic package but obviously it would have put the price up. The base is marked out with useful lines and angles and a ruler to measure up to 19cms, an extending ruler would be useful for larger paper sizes but alas there isn't one. With the blade being hidden inside the cassette this trimmer is suitable for use for older children. Our 11 year old had great fun cutting photos out and articles to put into a scrap book she is making for a school project. To use the cutter you do have to push quite firmly onto the yellow lever to get a good clean cut. We did find it would cut up to 4 sheets of paper in one go, more than that it didn't cut the lower pages cleanly. However it is for home use and it would be rare I needed to cut more than one page at a time. It comes with a generous 2 year guarantee which will be extended by another year when you register the guarantee.

Inaccurate Measurements and Unreliable Cuts
On arrival, the Fellowes Neutron A4 Paper Trimmer looked much like any other paper trimmer and required virtually no setup, with the SafeCut cartridge already installed. Unfortunately, the positive impressions ended there. My first test was a single sheet of 120gsm paper, well within the capabilities you would expect from a trimmer advertised to cut up to 10 sheets of 80gsm paper. Even then, the cutter struggled. The SafeCut blade requires an excessive amount of pressure to make a reliable cut, far more than any paper trimmer I've used before. Applying that much force can also cause the paper or trimmer to shift, making accurate cuts more difficult. The measuring guide was also inaccurate. When cutting to a marked measurement of 10cm, the result was consistently closer to 10.2cm. For anyone needing precise cuts, the built-in ruler simply can't be trusted. I then tested the advertised maximum capacity of 10 sheets of 80gsm printer paper. Once again, the trimmer failed to cut through the stack cleanly, requiring multiple passes to finish the job. Overall, this trimmer feels like far more work than it should be. It requires excessive force, struggles to cut consistently, and lacks the accuracy needed for precise trimming. That said, for occasional cutting of single sheets where you're either working to your own marks or don't need high accuracy, then this could be an option with enough perseverance. For me personally, my trusty old steel ruler and a craft knife would still be my first choice.

Hello Alana,
The supplier advised that Fellowes Neutron 10 Sheet A4 Trimmer:
It works the same way of scissors, depending on how far they push it past the blade will depend on the cut size.
