The Habitat Orton Ottoman Bed solves the problem of where to stash spare bedding while giving you somewhere to sleep. It's a small double size, offering space to spread out without filling a smaller bedroom. The end-lift design provides access to a large 630L storage area underneath, ideal for duvets, pillows or seasonal linens. Softly padded upholstery in neutral oatmeal with a linen-look finish complements most bedroom colours. The curved wave headboard adds subtle shape. Sprung wooden slats support your mattress and allow airflow, keeping things fresh.
The fabric covering sits quietly with your existing bedroom pieces. The storage space runs nearly the full length of the bed and it's 27cm deep, so bulky items fit without squashing. The frame sits low with just 1.5cm underneath, keeping the look tidy. It'll hold a total weight of up to 220kg across the mattress and base, giving you solid support. You'll need to assemble it, best done with two people for the lifting. Comes with a one-year guarantee for peace of mind.

Poor design
The bed frame is weak. After using the bed for 2 weeks, I sat on the end of the bed (in the middle) and it collapsed bending and snapping the metal bed frame

Beautiful shape
Really beautiful bed for the money. The shape of the headboard is perfect. Large under bed storage. It does only have a piece of fabric for the base rather than hardboard like other ottomans. I actually prefer this as you don’t have to use it and that means you can hoover when needed under the bed. The other thing we did when putting the bed together was fixing in place the pistons before adding the slates. Just got to remember that the pistons don’t go down unless the mattress is on. So stand inside the frame push down on the end and that will counterbalance and the pistons will go down ready to put the slates on. Hope that makes sense and helps.

Really nice bedframe
I'm really happy with this bedframe. The storage under it is really spacious. I did have some difficulties with putting it together, but I managed in the end. Would definitely recommend everyone.

Easy to build, stylish bed
We bought this a couple of months ago and all works as intended. Easy to assemble; however lifting up the bed frame with a mattress takes a bit of physical effort.

All bed measurements are taken from the widest points. Your small double mattress, measuring W120 x L190, will be suitable and should fit perfectly.

I can advise that as a single mattress is 90cm x 190cm, it should fit instead the storage area. However the depth will also be a consideration.

The distance from the metal support frame to the siderail top is 4cm. The 27cm depth mattress should be fine. (Please note the maximum weight of the mattress should not exceed 60kgs).
