About this product
The Habitat Orton Ottoman Bed gives you a comfortable spot to rest and smart hidden storage that solves the problem of where to put spare bedding and seasonal bits. It's a superking size with a softly padded frame that's upholstered in beige linen-like fabric, so it feels gentle and works with most bedroom styles. The wave-shaped headboard's included and adds a soft finish to the frame. There's an end lift mechanism that opens up to reveal 990L of storage underneath, that's proper space for extra duvets, pillows or anything you want tucked away.
Sprung wooden slats sit under your mattress and keep air moving while supporting you through the night. The fabric's durable and practical for everyday bedroom life. The siderail height makes getting in and out straightforward, and there's just 1.5cm between the floor and the base. The headboard fixes to the frame, no separate brackets or wall mounting needed. Assembly's required, and you'll want two people for it. It supports a maximum user weight of 220kg. Mattress sold separately, so pick one that suits your comfort.

Poor design
The bed frame is weak. After using the bed for 2 weeks, I sat on the end of the bed (in the middle) and it collapsed bending and snapping the metal bed frame

Beautiful shape
Really beautiful bed for the money. The shape of the headboard is perfect. Large under bed storage. It does only have a piece of fabric for the base rather than hardboard like other ottomans. I actually prefer this as you don’t have to use it and that means you can hoover when needed under the bed. The other thing we did when putting the bed together was fixing in place the pistons before adding the slates. Just got to remember that the pistons don’t go down unless the mattress is on. So stand inside the frame push down on the end and that will counterbalance and the pistons will go down ready to put the slates on. Hope that makes sense and helps.

Really nice bedframe
I'm really happy with this bedframe. The storage under it is really spacious. I did have some difficulties with putting it together, but I managed in the end. Would definitely recommend everyone.

Easy to build, stylish bed
We bought this a couple of months ago and all works as intended. Easy to assemble; however lifting up the bed frame with a mattress takes a bit of physical effort.

I can advise that as a single mattress is 90cm x 190cm, it should fit instead the storage area. However the depth will also be a consideration.

Mattress weight is never taken into account for the overall weight limit. However, a standard UK weight is used when testing. Anything over 25-30kgs will eat into the weight limit of the person.

The distance from the metal support frame to the siderail top is 4cm. The 27cm depth mattress should be fine. (Please note the maximum weight of the mattress should not exceed 60kgs).
