There's a sturdy divan base underneath that keeps things solid and supportive, while 192 open coil springs provide medium-feel comfort through the night. The soft damask cover with quilted finish feels comfortable against your skin, practical for everyday use. It's a single size that fits into most bedrooms without taking over. The divan base comes in two pieces for straightforward setup, with chrome feet that lift the frame off the floor. The no-turn mattress requires minimal effort, just rotate it regularly to even out wear over time. The 19cm mattress depth sits on a 38cm divan base for a comfortable sleeping height that works with standard bedroom furniture. Supports users up to 101.5kg safely. Very comfy bed for what it is. I sleep well and wake up fully rested . Having downsized from a double bed i'm finding the size ok too.

Not a bad short notice purchase!!
I purchased this bed a month ago for a small spare room in my house, and after reading the reviews. Delivery was on time, and one of the delivery men kindly helped me take it upstairs. Assembly was very easy and took 15mins. I tried it out - the mattress is very basic in that the springs give very little support, a bit of a roll when you move on it, but strangely is comfortable to lie on!! Two overnight family members slept on the bed and had no complaints. I will put a mattress topper on for added comfort. The divan drawers work well with lots of storage and are a good depth, but can keep opening at times by themselves as the runners have nothing to stop them doing so. This really is my only complaint. Fits lovely in the space provided and for what l need it for. Just need a headboard now. I would recommend this if you are on a budget, assembles easily, and if you need something at short notice like l did. Not sure how long it will last long term , but it is only to used as a guest bed.

The bed is extremely comfortable. The mattress is not to soft. I'm 6ft 3ins tall and it's long enough and very wide for a single bed. Cushions my bad back perfectly. Springs perfect. Looks and feels it will last. Love the bed.

For the price obviously not top range but initially comfortable enough for a spare bedroom. Time will tell on durability. Very helpful delivery men 5 stars for them.

Great Bed for the Money
It's getting increasingly difficult to find single divan beds with 'side slide' storage, even though they're ideal for small bedrooms with restricted space for opening conventional under-bed drawers. We needed to replace a single divan which had done sterling service for over 25 years, but finally gave up the ghost when one of the long side struts broke. Thankfully, Argos came up trumps with a suitable replacement at a reasonable price. The new bed came with all the features we needed (including the option of fitting the headboard at either end...so that you can choose which side the side-slide opening goes). The 'Natural' colour is pleasing to the eye, the chromed plastic feet (not castors) were relatively easy to insert, and the wood quality and internal construction seems to be sound. Hopefully it will last 25 years like the very similar one it replaced. My only slight niggle is that you have to buy the bed complete with a spring mattress. The mattress itself is satisfactory at this price point, but we already have a rather expensive foam mattress that we will be using on this bed. So the price would have been even more appealing if you could buy the bed base separately.

Do not buy
I bought this bed for my elderly mother in law to stay in but the mattress is so uncomfortable she can’t use it. For £300 with no headboard I was expecting a half decent mattress but I was mistaken. Customer service won’t help because when I’ve been in hospital my sister in law through the packaging away. I won’t be ordered another thing from Argos.
