About this product
This McGregor 450W 30cm grass trimmer is ideal for cutting wide areas and fine to long & coarse grass. This is a 3-in-1 grass trimmer; change the angle of the cutting head to enable you to edge your lawn, trim your grass and reach under objects such as benches and trampolines. The flower guard allows you to cut right up to the edge of your garden while protecting your flowers and plants. This grass trimmer has been designed with comfort in mind, featuring an adjustable front handle and telescopic shaft to adjust the trimmer to suit your height.
For uninterrupted and worry-free trimming, the auto feed spool system extends the cutting line, should the cable snap, no need to adjust manually. The 8m cable length will reduce the need for an extension cable.
At 450W this is suitable for fine to long & coarse grass. It is also suited to larger areas thanks to the 30cm cutting width. No matter the size of cutting area, a wider cutting width will get the job done quicker. All McGregor Garden Power and Pressure Washer Products include a 2-year guarantee.

It didn't really do the job which was simply trimming grass around the border of a small garden. It left the grass looking uneven and even cut up some of the plants. Hard to be accurate and disappointing results. Would not recommend.

From the information available, the strimmer can't be replaced for a wire brush.

in the booklet that comes with it on page 17 technical data it saus line width is 1.65mm so that the size you need. if you type in the model number into google loads of places will come up that sell the wire.

McGregor 30cm Corded Grass Trimmer - 450W:
As in the manual: FITTING THE GUARD (SEE FIG. A1, A2, A3)
1) Remove the mounting screw from safety guard, see FIG A1.
2) Attach the safety guard to the trimmer head, align the guard so it slides into the slots located on
the trimmer head, see FIG A2.
3) Secure the safety guard onto the trimmer head with the screw provided, see A3.
The screw you removed in step 1 is the same screw you will use in step 3 to secure the safety guard back onto the trimmer head.
