The supplier has confirmed the Samsung 40 Inch UE40F6000FK Smart Full HD HDR LED TV does not support recording one program while watching another. This is because the built-in tuner in the TV can only handle one channel at a time. To record one program while watching another, you will need a separate device with multiple tuners, such as a digital video recorder (DVR) or a set-top box with recording capabilities.

It does have a HDMI connection, the satellite connection will be into the freest box and not the TV. But the TV does have a Satellite port.
