Slow slow slow….
Bought a few months ago and the OS is very slow from the start. I’d expect this after a few years but not straight out of the box. One of the few 40” tv’s available so I’m stuck with it now. Will have to find an alternative media solution (I.e. firestick) before it ceases up completely. Picture quality is ok - not great. The rest of it is fine but it has been a disappointing purchase.

It is compatible with the Now TV app. As the HBO one is new, at the time of this reply (April 2026), we do have less direct confirming info.
From the information we have available, it is likely to be available for download to this TV from its app store. It's not pre-installed.
If it's not available, there are still options to stream it from another device on this TV via Miracast, subject to the other device also being compatible with this TV.

The TV turns on HD automatically. Just use an HDMI cable and set your device (Sky box, Freeview HD, console, etc.) to output 720p, 1080i, or 1080p. If it’s not showing HD, change the resolution setting on the device because the TV depends on the source’s output.
