Good picture but cumbersome operation.
Very complicated to set up having to register, provide email address etc. One should be able to simply turn it on use it. The set is good quality but full of rubish I can't remove on the start screen: apple tv, prime etc. which serve no usefull purpose. It also starts streaming something when I turn on and have to cancel and search for what I want.

The TV does not require a traditional TV aerial to access internet-based live TV content, provided it is connected to Wi-Fi.
To clarify:
Traditional broadcast TV channels (e.g. Freeview via DVB-T/T2) do require a TV aerial.
However, the TV can stream live TV over Wi-Fi using supported apps and services, such as:
Samsung TV Plus (free internet-delivered live TV channels, no aerial required)
UK broadcaster apps (e.g. BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5), which offer live streaming via the internet

Yes. This TV supports HDMI‑CEC, branded as Anynet+ on Samsung TVs. When enabled:
Power On: If your Sky Box is turned on, it sends a signal through HDMI to wake the TV and switch to the correct input.
Power Off: When you turn the TV off, it can send a signal to put the Sky Box into standby (if the Sky Box supports HDMI‑CEC).
To enable this feature:
Go to Settings → General → External Device Manager → Anynet+ (HDMI‑CEC) and switch it On.

Went ahead and purchased the TV. I can confirm that it does power on when the Sky Box, connected via HDMI, is turned on using the Sky remote control. However, it does not turn off when the Sky Box is turned off using the Sky remote. You first need to set up the Sky remote to control the Samsung TV, that way, a short press on the Sky remote will power off the Sky Box and a long press on the Sky remote power button will turn off the TV.
