It helped my daughter in swimming pools when she got out of her depth but she still had to tip her head back to keep her nose and mouth out of the water. It could do with a touch more buoyancy but it stopped her from sinking. Probably better for 4 rather than 5 depending on size/weight

Perfect for toddler confidence
I haven’t used this size yet but previously bought the same one in a size smaller. Has been perfect for swimming lessons and holidays. Used for my 2 year old and she’s gained so much confidence by allowing her to independently swim, which is why I’ve bought the same one in the next size. Would recommend

The supplier has advised the following for the Zoggs Pink Swim Jacket - 4-5 Years:
"The swim jacket needs to be a snug fit to avoid it riding up whilst the child is in the water. The customer could size up. However, the 4-5 years model is designed to support a child who weighs 18-25kgs. Therefore, if the parents chooses to use the 4-5 years model the jacket will provide slightly more buoyancy than required. An adult must remain within arm's reach of the child wearing the jacket at all times."

I can advise the following for the Zoggs Pink Swim Jacket - 2-3 Years:
A chest measurement isn't provided as the supplier doesn't check this as a required measurement. The child needs to be between 2-3 and weigh between 15-18Kgs for this to be suitable.

“Yes, the buoyancy will support them in an upright position. Please refer to size/weight parameters: 2-3 years (15-18kgs), 4-5 years (18-25kgs). An adult must remain within arm's reach at all times.”

Of course- Arm bands & the swim jackets both do provide a buoyancy, so effectively are doing the same job.
Some children often prefer a jacket as it offers a but more freedom.
