The quietest kettle ever bought

Made water taste awful!
This kettle tainted the water and made it taste strongly of plastic. I used freshly filtered water with all impurities removed. I cleaned the kettle thoroughly and persisted for a week but it got worse and made tea and coffee undrinkable. So I returned it for a refund. I replaced it with a new glass kettle from which the same water tastes perfect. I suspect that it is the two plastic gauge windows on the kettle that impart the plastic taste to the water. I have seen from other reviews that I am not the only one to have had this experience.

Quiet rapid boil
Very pleased with this kettle, it's nice & quiet & very quick to boil. Only slight negative, I would have preferred brushed chrome accents as pictures suggested this but they're bright chrome. Otherwise very happy!
