I bought this a month ago to replace my old kettle that had packed up. This is the same again kettle because I loved my last kettle and I know I will love this as well. I love the shape of this kettle I like the black button on the lid which I try to use every time I open and close the lid to keep it clean. I like the blue illumination.

I was disappointed with this purchase. The copper band around the base as a design feature is not as dark or noticeable as it looks on the photos. The walls of the kettle are very thin and heat up to a level which will burn you if you touch. It loses lots of heat. It does boil reasonably quickly and quietly but the water cools again very fast. I think plastic works better for insulation and I wouldn't choose a metal kettle again unless it was double wall insulated.
