The Argos Home Aspley Ottoman Bed gives you a proper place to sleep and hidden storage space underneath for spare bedding, seasonal clothes, or anything that's cluttering up your bedroom. It's a single frame built from solid pine, a sturdy natural wood that handles daily use. The concealed storage compartment lifts open from the end using hidden grab handles, so you don't need to pull the bed away from the wall to access what's inside. The wooden slatted base supports your mattress and allows airflow to keep things fresh.
The pine frame is finished in grey and fits with most bedroom styles. Sprung wooden slats flex slightly for comfortable support and help your mattress last longer. Pre-drilled holes a problem, but it looks great!
Wanted a white wooden ottoman bed, and this fit the bill perfectly - until I tried to put it together! I guess you get what you pay for, as it was cheaper than many others. I built it straight after fitting IKEA wardrobes, which went together brilliantly and quite easily. The instructions on this were better, in fact REALLY good to follow - but the pre-drilled holes for dowel rods and screws just didn't match up on the separate pieces, and at one point, when I had to force two pieces together, a little split appeared in one of the sections of wood. However, it is in place now, and looks great. I am very happy with it (I just hope the wood doesn't split any more)!

Overall good quality. Though, the metal frame felt very hollow and light weight. Fitting instructions are clear. Not very difficult to put up the bed. The storage under bed is good, can fit large suitcases if the bottom panels are taken off and bags put on floor.

Apologies, no, the headboard is what hold the sides together as the legs of the headboard are connected fully to the bed. Unlike conventional headboards that just attached to a base.
