I bought this a month ago for my new place... not that easy to assemble holes didn't line up.. and the frame appears to be bigger than a 4ft 6ins... as my mattress is new I do know that it fits a 4ft 6in frame... apart from that good value for what I paid...

I Love This Bed!
The quality of this bed surpassed my expectations. It arrives carefully packaged, with all of the bolts arranged by size and clearly labelled inside a very user-friendly blister pack. The only tool needed for assembly is one allen key which is supplied. It was very easy to assemble by myself. I started assembling at 10pm and was asleep in the bed by 11pm. It looks great - the fabric on the headboard is very chic. Really elevates the style of my bedroom. Delighted!

You are comparing the dimensions of the mattress with the dimensions of the bed frame. The bed frame is obviously going to be larger than the mattress.
