Took a leap and bought this Pixel. As someone who has been using more manufacture-centric features, it is interesting to take back control of features like daydream and lose features such as locked-down quick settings/tiles (mitigated by replacing custom tiles) and double tap to switch off screen. It is nice to have working ultra-hdr and other manufacturer bloatware not there to deal with this time.

Pixel — the best phone I’ve ever had
Before this, I used different phone brands — I’ve owned around eight different Android models. When I broke my previous phone, I was upset, but now that I’m holding the Pixel 9a because of that situation, I’m actually glad it happened. The battery lasts a long time — by the end of the day, I still have about 40% left, and I use it quite actively. The camera feature “Add me to the photo” makes me ridiculously happy. Overall, I’m really impressed and satisfied. I think Pixel has taken a leading place in my heart :)

solid battery life
I bought this to replace a Pixel 7 Pro which had been run over by a car (!). I didn't want to go for the Pixel 10 due to its cost and after some research settled for the 9a over 9 due to its bigger battery even though it is supposed to have slightly less processing speed. To be honest I haven't noticed any difference. It is a smaller phone than the 7 Pro and fits in my hand nicely and feels good to use.
