A desk fixed to the wall that folds down for use and back up when the work stops. Open, the leaf gives a 64 x 58cm work surface at 75cm height, level with a standard chair seat and table. Closed, the unit stands 20cm out from the wall, so the floor beneath it returns to the room. Three shelves sit within reach of the seat and hold books, folders and a monitor. White panels with a melamine veneer and PVC edging, and the corners are rounded rather than square.
At 20cm deep when folded, the desk leaves the floor clear in a bedroom, hallway or box room, so a door still opens and a chair can be moved aside. The drop-leaf lock holds the surface rigid under a laptop or a pile of folders. Three shelves keep books, files and a monitor at sitting height, which leaves the 64 x 58cm top free for writing. Load is rated at 35kg across the unit, and the wall screws are included as the frame is designed to be anchored to the wall. Rounded corners sit at hip height in a passage, and the melamine veneer wipes clean. Numbered parts and instructions are in the box.
