I bought this as my physio therapist has the same one, I use this all on my back, feet arms and shoulders. When my pains are painful it can be awkward to hold or push it into the right spot, but it does work. I’ve not needed to use the heat as its warm enough. I have also used it on my mums back and it has significantly helped with her back pains

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: This product has 2 functions: vibration + heating massage.
As everyone has different experiences and feelings, also its effectiveness could be different.

The instructions for the HoMedics Percussion Deep Tissue Massager advise the following among other safety cautions.
If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult a doctor before using this appliance.
• NEVER use directly on swollen or inflamed areas or skin eruptions.
• The appliance has a heated surface. Persons insensitive to heat must be careful
when using the appliance. (Do not use with a helpless person, an infant or a
person insensitive to heat.)
• If you feel any discomfort whilst using this appliance, discontinue use and
consult your doctor.
• This is a non-professional appliance, designed for personal use and intended
to provide a soothing massage to worn muscles. DO NOT use as a substitute for
medical attention.
• DO NOT use before going to bed. The massage has a stimulating effect and can
delay sleep.
• Do not use for longer than the recommended time.
• Do not use the heat continuously for more than 15 minutes.
• Never massage the same spot longer than 3 minutes.
• Never use this appliance on or near eyes or other highly sensitive areas.
As the safety cautions do not specifically advise the user to not use on the neck area, we would advise this is safe to do so however, if you are concerned about using the HoMedics Percussion Deep Tissue Massager in a specific area, we recommend checking with a medical professional to confirm.
