Customers Say
The Philips Ambilight TV offers stunning picture quality and an immersive viewing experience thanks to its unique Ambilight feature. However, users express frustration over a limited app selection and issues with the Titan OS.

A wonderful upgrade!
I was eyeing this TV for months and it doesn't disappoint. The ambilight is incredible, the picture quality is lovely (a perfect set up from my 15 year old TV) and I couldn't be happier

TV controller
Television is fine but there is lug missing from the battery compartment of the controller so the cover slips off and have been unable to find a phone number to contact you to get it replaced. There is a slit on the battery compartment for the lug to go in but it appears that there was never one put on the cover - there is not a mark where it should be.

Amazing TV!
The image is perfect, the ambilight feature is amazing! Makes watching TV more immersive. Works best in a dark room.

Good TV for the Money but Very Limited Apps
Overall I'm pleased with this TV, bought as a replacement for an older Philips ambilight TV but, although it is an upgrade, I have been disappointed by a couple of things. Previously Philips enabled many apps to be added via Google Play but this new model only offers a very limited range. Apps such as Apple TV and Spotify are not available. Also, digital audio output is only available as an alternative to the TV speaker output so those who, like me, would like sound going direct to hearing aids can only do that when no-one else in the room wants to be able to hear the TV. The headphones socket can be used instead of digital but that doesn't allow the TV speaker volume to be adjusted, so still doesn't work if other viewers are present too. To be a bit more positive, the TV was easy to set up, I'm happy with the quality of sound and the picture and I'm still loving the ambilight.

Crystal clear picture
Only one annoying feature is that it loads with an invitation to install BBC. Given most people don't want to pay a licence fee anymore and change watching habits to avoid this. It's somewhat irritating. No complaints about the TV itself though. It's my 5th ambilight from Philips they don't live much beyond 7 years.

Flashy Lights Help Shadow The Limitations.
Ambilight, big win. Creates a colourful setting for everyone to enjoy, multiple settings and of course can just be switched off. Operationally, Titan OS is garbage, stock apps not really required and app store limited. ITV app doesn’t allow live tv option either. Firestick, Apple TV etc worth adding. Gaming hasn’t really made a big jump using the HDMi 2.1 port (enhanced for gaming). USB playback initially froze the set, found a way to hard power off. Upon research any USB has to be Fat format, very limiting for a 2024 TV in the modern age. Picture is lovely, vibrant and punchy (many modes and personal) any 4K/UHD content can look amazing. Sound is adequate, nice levels. TV remote feels nice, additional streaming buttons for those who like that. Jury still out for overall satisfaction.
