The Argos Home Aubrey Superking Wooden Bed Frame gives you a restful place to sleep with a refined look that works in most bedrooms. It's inspired by traditional shaker furniture, simple and uncluttered. The solid pine frame with warm oak stain shows off the wood's natural knots and grain, so each bed has its own character. The tall headboard creates a gentle focal point without overwhelming your room. It fits a superking mattress and gives you firm support underneath through sturdy wooden slats that keep things stable through the night.
The oak stain finish protects the wood while letting the grain show through clearly. There's 24cm of space underneath, so you can store boxes or hoover without awkward bending. The siderails sit at a comfortable height for getting in and out of bed easily. Wooden slats distribute weight evenly across the mattress base. Great for the price. Not too tricky to make if you have an electric drill. Looks good and is stable. We are happy with it as a spare room bed.

poor quality but cheap.
It is cheap but functional. Wood frame was split where manufacturer had drilled holes before I even attempted assembly Existing dowel holes out of alignment so that: a) horizontal bar of headboard is twisted b) top of end the bed is not level so the plank across the top of the headboard doesn't quite fit. I kept it - otherwise I needed to make another 200 mile round trip

Very Dissapointed the bad is very badly made for the price. The wood has a very rough finish couldn't return as it was needed. I honestly wish I'd read the reviews first as I would not have ordered from argos.

Nice looking bed and good value, took a long time to build and a few parts had screw holes in the wrong place.

Poor Quality
The bed was fairly easy to build but of poor quality. Some of the beams were not long enough to reach from 1 support to the other. There was also a couple of screws which were not thread properly and could not be used or secured with the bolts. One of the headboards also didn’t have the correct holes drilled into it for the wooden dowels and screws to align so i had to carve them in myself. I’ve had my bed for a couple of months now and already there are some of the wooden support beams that have snapped.

Best bed we've had
Absolutely love this bed. we went for the white one, no manufacturers faults, no paint chips, just a lovely bed. Took my husband approx. 3hrs to put together , I didn't hear any swearing and he was happy with it when finished! Extremely good quality and value for money, using the money off code clearance. Very sturdy and looks great, fitting in nicely. Ergonomic for 2 people of above average height.

Sturdy great looking bed
The reason I did not give 5 stars is that the colour was stated as oak and cream. The ‘oak’ bits are definitely not , they are most definitely looking like pine. There were also 3 screws missing and some instructions were difficult to follow as the diagrams were misleading. However the bed is very sturdy and well made, also looks classy.

"The bed is made from solid pine wood and is finished with a water-based paint. This type of paint is commonly used for children’s furniture because it has very low VOC levels and does not contain harmful solvents or toxic chemicals typically found in oil-based paints.
The bed is not treated or sprayed with any additional chemicals, such as insecticides or preservatives. Once the paint has cured, it is considered safe for indoor use and suitable for homes with children and individuals with sensitivities."
