About this product
Ageratum 'Red Sea' (Ageratum houstonianum) is a half-hardy annual that fills borders with deep purple-red, fluffy flowers held on stems to about 500 mm. It blooms from mid-summer into early autumn, is popular with pollinators and makes an attractive cut flower. Sow indoors in moist seed compost, cover lightly and keep at 15–20°C. Transplant seedlings 5 cm apart, harden off for 2–3 weeks and plant out 25 cm apart after frost risk has passed.
