The Argos Home Aubrey Bed Frame gives you a restful place to sleep with a timeless look that fits into any bedroom style. It's made from solid oak with a two-tone painted finish, so it feels homely and sits comfortably with traditional or modern furniture. The tall headboard creates a neat focal point without overwhelming the room, while sturdy wooden slats underneath support your mattress firmly and evenly. The solid oak frame stands up to daily use, while the wooden slat base keeps your mattress supported and allows air to circulate underneath. There's 24cm of space between the floor and the base, so you can store boxes or bags out of sight and hoover underneath easily. The siderails sit at a comfortable height that makes getting in and out straightforward. It's part of the Aubrey collection, so you can match it with other pieces if you want a coordinated bedroom. Very Dissapointed the bad is very badly made for the price. The wood has a very rough finish couldn't return as it was needed. I honestly wish I'd read the reviews first as I would not have ordered from argos.

Nice looking bed and good value, took a long time to build and a few parts had screw holes in the wrong place.

Poor Quality
The bed was fairly easy to build but of poor quality. Some of the beams were not long enough to reach from 1 support to the other. There was also a couple of screws which were not thread properly and could not be used or secured with the bolts. One of the headboards also didn’t have the correct holes drilled into it for the wooden dowels and screws to align so i had to carve them in myself. I’ve had my bed for a couple of months now and already there are some of the wooden support beams that have snapped.

Best bed we've had
Absolutely love this bed. we went for the white one, no manufacturers faults, no paint chips, just a lovely bed. Took my husband approx. 3hrs to put together , I didn't hear any swearing and he was happy with it when finished! Extremely good quality and value for money, using the money off code clearance. Very sturdy and looks great, fitting in nicely. Ergonomic for 2 people of above average height.

Sturdy great looking bed
The reason I did not give 5 stars is that the colour was stated as oak and cream. The ‘oak’ bits are definitely not , they are most definitely looking like pine. There were also 3 screws missing and some instructions were difficult to follow as the diagrams were misleading. However the bed is very sturdy and well made, also looks classy.

Nice bed but disappointed
Lovely bed, however it came and had scratches and splits in the wood. Also a bolt was supposed to go in the headboard, however there was no hole to put the bolt in. Also the sides of the bed couldn’t be fastened properly as two of the bolts wouldn’t go into the half moon nuts - I did contact Argos and they have sent me another two bolts and nuts so hopefully these will work. Was disappointed with all this happening but the bed colour does look nice

"The bed is made from solid pine wood and is finished with a water-based paint. This type of paint is commonly used for children’s furniture because it has very low VOC levels and does not contain harmful solvents or toxic chemicals typically found in oil-based paints.
