The Argos Home Aubrey Small Double Wooden Bed Frame gives you a practical place to sleep while keeping your bedroom calm and uncluttered. It's inspired by simple shaker furniture, so the lines are clean and unfussy. The solid pine frame holds up well to everyday use, and the white painted finish works with both classic and contemporary bedroom styles. There's a tall headboard that adds a focal point without dominating the room, ideal for teenagers and smaller bedrooms where space matters.
Wooden slats built into the base provide firm support for your mattress, no separate base needed. There's 24cm of space underneath, so you can hoover below or use the space for storage boxes. The siderails sit 35.5cm high to keep your mattress secure. It arrives flat-packed for self-assembly, and two people are recommended to put it together. Part of the Aubrey collection, so you can match it with other pieces. Comes with a manufacturer's 1 year guarantee.

Second time purchased this item - never again.
The finish of the bed frame is terrible. Every component was chipped, scratched or otherwise damaged. The slats are covered in knot holes which have been filled over with wood or car body filler. This is the second 'Aubrey' bed frame we have purchased from Argos - we bought this one because we were so satisfied with the first. We won't be buying a third.

Lovely sturdy bed. And love the sage green colour. Delivery was exactly on the day I requsted and arrived by 7.30am.i was very impressed. Driver was kind and respectful.

not that sturdy for a wooden bed the tops of the headboard doesnt seem to sit that stable, it is a beautiful bed though and I like how the slats screw in. I will say its good value for money

Solid frame for this price point
For the price a sturdy bed ascetically it looks the part it is more of a yellow cream the fixings are good and as reasonably okay with DIY I put the bed together in around half an hour myself, having used it for a couple of weeks now it's still together and hasn't started making any creaks or noises. My frame did come with a small mark on and Argos offered me a partial refund that was processed the same day of delivery.

Great solid bed for the money.
Very nice looking solid bed for the money. We have a 'real' oak super king bed in the house, and this, as a 'oak stain' cheaper alternative, was a good match for our teenage son's room.

Sturdy and simple set up
I bought this recently and I certainly don’t regret it! I’ve recently moved and I’m strap for cash, but this was worth spending for. It’s a sturdy frame and was easy to put together. The instructions advise that two people do it, and that would have halted the amount of time it took me to set it up, but if you’re determined, it’s doable by yourself. Would buy again if I needed to

"The bed is made from solid pine wood and is finished with a water-based paint. This type of paint is commonly used for children’s furniture because it has very low VOC levels and does not contain harmful solvents or toxic chemicals typically found in oil-based paints.
The bed is not treated or sprayed with any additional chemicals, such as insecticides or preservatives. Once the paint has cured, it is considered safe for indoor use and suitable for homes with children and individuals with sensitivities."
