The Aspley Ottoman Bed Frame provides a place to sleep and hidden storage for bedding, spare clothes, or items you don't use daily. Made from solid pine, a strong natural hardwood, it stays stable with nightly use. Hidden grab handles lift the frame to reveal storage underneath, avoiding awkward fiddling or heavy lifting. The end-lift design opens smoothly and stays put while you reach in. Sprung wooden slats support your mattress and help it breathe. The white finish keeps things clean and simple, fitting most bedroom styles.
The storage compartment beneath the slatted base provides room for bulky items like duvets, pillows or seasonal clothes. The sprung slats flex to absorb movement and extend mattress life. I love this bed, easy to put together. Just the extra space that was needed, so much fits in the space. However have removed one star as there are a few marks and dent on the bed that shouldn't be there when openingthe boxes.

Pre-drilled holes a problem, but it looks great!
Wanted a white wooden ottoman bed, and this fit the bill perfectly - until I tried to put it together! I guess you get what you pay for, as it was cheaper than many others. I built it straight after fitting IKEA wardrobes, which went together brilliantly and quite easily. The instructions on this were better, in fact REALLY good to follow - but the pre-drilled holes for dowel rods and screws just didn't match up on the separate pieces, and at one point, when I had to force two pieces together, a little split appeared in one of the sections of wood. However, it is in place now, and looks great. I am very happy with it (I just hope the wood doesn't split any more)!

Good purchase, good storage under bed
Overall good quality. Though, the metal frame felt very hollow and light weight. Fitting instructions are clear. Not very difficult to put up the bed. The storage under bed is good, can fit large suitcases if the bottom panels are taken off and bags put on floor.

Apologies, no, the headboard is what hold the sides together as the legs of the headboard are connected fully to the bed. Unlike conventional headboards that just attached to a base.
