About this product
Crafted in solid wood with a stunning oak veneer, this is a double bedframe to lie for. Spot the hallmarks of iconic British design that also combine perfectly with the form and function of popular Scandi design. The finesse of a strong but elegant headboard structured from wood turned spindles and a carved top bar. Full length legs integral to the frame for extra strength. Sprung wooden slats with reinforced central posts for mattress support and ventilation.

Nice looking bed
Very good quality structure, wood well crafted - certainly feels like solid oak, not sure whether is or isn't. Oak colour is warm honey. Looks a nice expensive piece of furniture. The lip of the bed keeps mattress in place. A slight gap around my standard double mattress so should be able to handle the slightly chunkier ones. Currently no squeak noted. Sturdy. Notes for construction. 1) Plastic slats were significantly easier to put in using one of the small cheap hammers with a rubber head to bang them into place - do the central ones first, then add the slats on each side. I whizzed through it all in about five minutes; trying to do it by hand would be a nightmare trying to force them into the holes, but a couple of bangs with the hammer and they're in fast. 2) I did have some problems with the central wooden structure as this requires you to screw in three wooden legs - the hole through the central piece is pre-drilled but you're screwing directly into the solid pine (?) end section so has a tendency to get stuck if you get the angle wrong. I managed to do it via hand but that took a lot of effort. 3) Make sure your side pieces are the right way up - I overlooked the holes and had to readjust! Generally easy build, I managed it by myself with some books balancing the sides while I moved them into position.

Great bed frame
I like the bed frame, it is stylish and looks great. Size is suitable for a double bed frame. However, when my item was delivered there was an item that was damaged in my home, I contacted Argos about this and heard nothing back.

Lovely appearance and easy to put together
I'm very happy with the appearance, quality and comfort of my new bed. I put it together on my own and it took about 90 minutes. All the bolts washers etc were in separate clearly marked bags and the instructions were so much better than a lot of other flat packed furniture!

It's an average of around 12cm between the slats, the top and bottom slat are closed to the frame. They are propositioned slats and don't require any thought to place them in the right location.
