Great all round laptop.
First off this product was listed twice on the website, once as a 2022 model and once as a 2024 model. As an Applephobe I knew they were the same model and that it was from 2022 so it was not an issue. The performance is still well above what you would get with a 2024/25 Windows laptop and it is feature packed with things like Touch ID. With it having 4 speakers as well the sound is the best I have heard from a laptop but I dare say people with bigger models will say there's is better but trust me, the sound has to be heard to be believed for a laptop of this size. With regards to the size of the laptop as it's an Air model its also super thin and light so won't be hard to carry around all day if you use it for work, school, or college/university. The battery life should get you through a day of work or studying with ease and is more than enough to watch a few hours of YouTube or a few films so no issues there. Now to the crunch, would I have paid full price for it? Probably not, I'd have saved a bit harder and brought a newer model but for £700 this cant be beaten.

Missold this as was originally advertised as 2024 model but this was incorrect and argos refused to supply me an accurate model. The text has only recently been corrected and the only reason I realised it was falsely sold is because I work in IT and know the m2 processor is not 2024.

No but you can purchase the software separately, specifically for the mac os they have offers on this too. Im looking for sane. You can buy MS office for a 1 off price but get security updates only or annual fee for MS office 365. Depends if you would use it all

I can advise that the MacBook Air 2022 does not come with Microsoft Excel and Word pre-installed; it comes with Apple's free suite of apps, including Numbers and Pages. Numbers and Pages can open Excel and Word files.

For those people buying this MacBook Air its not the 2024 model, I bought this when it was advertised as a 2024 model, it was for my sons birthday, he was very disappointed, Argos have literally pulled a fast one, I have got the original screenshot and invoice stating it was a 2024 model, they literally have no respect for the legality of false advertising, as as such I have contacted trading standards to pursue a claim, buy with caution folks.
You can see theyve now fixed the description after I also fell into the trap of buying what I believed was a 2024 version and it turned out to be 2022. Argos didnt care about trade descriptions and totally messed me about. Argos are not a fair company to buy from since the biggest favour they did was accept the return for refund and thats it
