Fun and engaging
This board game puts players in the role of iconic Disney villains, each with their own unique objectives and playstyle. The game offers a great mix of strategy and luck, making it enjoyable for both casual and more experienced board gamers. One of the highlights of Villainous is its gorgeous artwork and high-quality components. The villain boards, cards, and game pieces are beautifully designed, capturing the essence of each character in a way that Disney fans will love. I played as Ursula, who quickly became my favorite villain to play. Each character has a different strategy to win, but some rely more on luck of the draw, meaning your success can sometimes come down to the cards you pull. The game isn’t overly challenging, but there are a lot of rules to learn the first time you play, which can be a bit overwhelming. However, once you get the hang of it, the game flows smoothly. Overall, I’d highly recommend Disney Villainous to Disney lovers, especially those who enjoy strategy games with a competitive edge. Whether you’re playing with family or friends, it’s a great way to step into the shoes of your favorite villains and see if you have what it takes to rule your own Disney kingdom.
