About this product
Uses your cat's existing microchip as an electronic door key and keeps out intruder animals. Battery powered (4xAA not included), works with all microchips, stores up to 32 cats and no collar is required. Drop-in replacement for most cat flaps. Mounting adaptor required for glass installations. Flap size (mm) 142 w x 120 h. Selective entry. The below dimensions are the hole size for the flap. The height of the physical cat flap is 21cm.

Does the job
No complaints. It does what it should and our cat adjusted quickly. The only star removed was because of the noise it makes but it could be worse. It doesn’t spook her too much.

Brought this to replace the one I already had, my cat managed to break the door. After phoning sureflap for a replacement door, I was informed they no longer supply them for old models, (2012). The design is slightly different,in that you will be able to replace parts without having to remove the whole thing like in the old model.

I needed a replacement cat flap do ordered the same spec. Size was perfect, fitted in existing hole in door. However they have changed the hinge material I believe and once the flap was fully opened after my cat passed through, it stayed open and aloft, leaving the cat flap useless, letting in not only any other cats but all the cold weather too. May as well have left the hole in the door.

I bought this to replace an older SureFlap door. Really easy to swap over, but the new clean and shiny door terrified my cat for a few hours! This one is a definite improvement, it no longer blows open in high winds!

Yes, the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap can fit into an existing hole. If you have a pre-cut hole, you can install the cat flap using a cat flap mounting adaptor. Ensure that the hole is the correct size for the flap to function properly. For glass doors, a pane with a pre-cut hole is required, and a glazier can supply this.

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap works with all common identification microchips & RFID collar tags (not included).
Selective entry – any animal can exit. The microchip reader is located on the outside of the cat flap only.
This cat flap also has a manual lock which stops your cat leaving or entering the house. Set to in-only to enable your cat to come indoors without being able to get out again.
There is a DualScan Microchip Cat Flap which can set exit permissions for each pet to keep specific pets indoors using DualScan technology.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap.
If the batteries run out, the cat flap will remain locked. Therefore, it's important to replace the batteries promptly when the low battery indicator starts flashing.

This SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap is suitable for pets with a max shoulder width of 14.2cm.
Provided your dog can be trained to use it there is nothing which would specifically prevent a dog using this flap, however for small dogs we would generally recommend the larger pet door here: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5758618...
