About this product
The Argos Home Lavendon Double Bed gives you sleeping space and storage in one tidy parcel, ideal if you're working with a compact bedroom. It's built with a faux leather frame that wipes clean after dusty days, finished in a neutral white that fits with most bedroom colours. There's an end-lift ottoman that opens to reveal 534 litres of storage space, enough for spare bedding, out-of-season clothes, or extra pillows. The sprung wooden slats sit underneath your mattress and provide even support through the night.
The ottoman lifts from the end, so you can access stored items without shifting bedside tables or lamps. Small plastic feet raise the frame 3cm off the floor, allowing you to hoover underneath. The faux leather headboard comes included with all fixings needed to attach it securely. Self-assembly required, two people recommended to make it easier. The frame supports up to 220kg total user weight and comes with a manufacturer's one year guarantee.
Spice things up in the bedroom with our collection of duvet and pillow sets. Neutral or bold patterns, we've got you covered.
Small plastic feet are provided to raise the bed 3cm from floor level.

Customers Say
Sturdy, spacious ottoman bed with ample under-bed storage. Easy to assemble with clear instructions. Comfortable mattress fit, though some find the bed a bit low and lifting stiff. Great value for money.

Good and easy to build
Bought this for a guest bedroom and it was easy enough to build. Without a mattress on it, the ottoman will stay open. Only thing I would say is there isn't an attachment that you can use to lift it up, you need to get your hand down and grip the slat.

Great for children's bedrooms
Easy to put together, plenty of space for under bed storage, holding together well. Lifts up nice and high when needing to access the ottoman side of things. Mattress fitted fine and does not move, slight gap around the edge but allows duvet to be tucked to keep things neat. Perfect first big bed for my son, comfortable.

King Size Lavendon Ottoman Bed
Finally got round to building this the weekend. It is a stunning bed! The amount of storage is very, very generous. I managed to build it on my own (54f), and it took about 2 hours. Putting my mattress on was more of a struggle than the build of the bed. Be warned, this isn't white. It's an off white/ivory colour, which fits my decor perfectly. I love it! We had the black double years ago, which has now made it's way into our spare room, and we upgraded to a king size. 100% recommend

Happy with the product
Excellent product. Clear build instructions, a rigid frame, and spacious storage. I was hoping it was taller, but that was on me for not measuring.

A cautionary tale!
This bed was exactly what I wanted a looks great in my bedroom. However, from the first night sleeping on it I’ve not known pain like I was getting in my shoulders and neck. I researched this after a few nights and found the answer was the arched slats was changing the way my mattress lays (pocket sprung) I put a length of plywood over the slats and problem solved. Something I had never even thought about!

Lavendon Single End Open Ottoman Bed Frame -Black
I bought this bed frame to go with the new mattress, the bed looks great in black, sturdy bed frame and with lots of storage space, it was easy to navigate the assembly of the whole bed. The bed and mattress together is conformable, he now has a better sleep with this bed and mattress.

Hello there. The Argos Home Lavendon Double End Open Ottoman Bed Frame states that the total maximum user weight of the bedframe is 220kg. This would include persons and mattress, so the depth is not an issue and can be personal choice. However, the weight of the usage on the bedframe, including the mattress has been specified.
