As described, easy build and very good instructions. Nice finish all round, only small issue is a small double mattress is slightly narrow leaving gaps either side.

Great bed that looks good and has the benefit of storage underneath with an easy to use lift system. The only annoying thing was there was no instruction advising that half the bed was inside the headboard which led to us sending bed back and having to wait 10 days on another one being delivered

This would include persons and mattress, so the depth is not an issue and can be personal choice. However, the weight of the usage on the bedframe, including the mattress has been specified.
