About this product

The Phoenix Ottoman Bed gives you a sturdy place to sleep with storage hidden underneath that lifts from the foot end. It's built from solid rubberwood, a hardwood known for its strength, with a smooth finish that handles daily use. The sprung slatted base adjusts to body weight and movement, giving natural bounce where you need it most. The ottoman mechanism uses gas pistons to lift smoothly, revealing storage space below that keeps bedding, spare pillows, or seasonal clothes out of sight. The headboard is included and fixes securely to the frame.

The storage compartment runs the full length of the bed, with a centre divide that splits the space into two sections for better organisation. Gas pistons are rated at 588 newtons, lifting reliably when a mattress is in place. The frame supports up to 220 kilogrammes of user weight and works with UK standard double mattresses up to 203 millimetres high. Two people are recommended for assembly, and all fixings are included. Comes with a manufacturer's one year guarantee.

The gas piston strength on this frame is 588 N. The maximum weight load for the Phoenix Ottoman frame is 350 kg and can support mattresses up to the weight of 45 kg. Please note the mattress needs to be on the bed for the pistons to work. Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress and the recommended maximum mattress height is 203 mm.
