Brilliant drill
Bought this to break up a thick section of tarmac on our driveway. Looked at reviews and decided to give it a go. The chisel attachments were brilliant, cut straight through it. Don't think we would have done it without this drill. Recommend highly.

Great value for your money
If you're looking for affordable and well made product that's your choice. Not very heavy, pretty small in size and definitely powerful enough. Also warranty seems fairly good (2 years from what I see). Great value.

Amazing power
Struggling to knock down a brick wall with hammer & chisel. Saw this hammer drill at Argos and so pleased with the ease and speed at which it removes each brick which I intend to re-use for a garden path. Amazing product at an amazing price!

Does a decent job
Bought to lift ceramic floor tiles. Which it does easily with an angled chisel bit. Bought separately. Seems to be working ok with generic lithium grease purchased from screwfix with the chisel bit.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W: We would only using the sized drill bits supplied with the drill (8/10/12x150mm)
Please be aware that SDS rotary drills can be used for some mixing tasks, they are not ideal for heavy-duty concrete mixing. SDS drills are primarily designed for drilling into hard materials like concrete and masonry. While some SDS drills come with mixing paddles, they are generally not as powerful as dedicated concrete mixers and may not be able to handle large quantities or heavy mixes.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W.
The drill does come with an auxiliary handle. The handle can be moved to allow for different positioning for drilling and chiselling, such as tiles. Please see the link below for the operating manual:

The front handle grip is very easy turn to any position so if you have an angled 25 ° chisel then it would be a breeze
Maybe Argos can remove the picture on the page which says it can easily be switched to reverse, when the picture is of a drill action selection mode.
Hi Mark B,
The Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W, does not have a reverse function.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Yup! Aim between the joints if it is a brick type wall and it will crumble as fast humpty Dumpty who fell from the wall. For a solid concrete type just whittle at it bit by bit, try not to aim for one spot and make a deep hole as the chisel can get stuck in said hole.
You can even reclaim any bricks by using a flat chisel or even another SDS chisel used for tiling to help speed up mortar removal.
Make sure you use eye, ear and respiratory protection.
