Great machine, with some inconsistencies
I love the look and usability of the Oracle Jet. It generally works well, but you need to spend some time willing to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of coffee beans by homing in on the right grind size for the different beans you want to try (which takes 2-3 attempts typically). You need to make sure the portafilter is warmed up before you pull your first shot of the day (I pull 3-4 shots into an empty basket). However, the grinder is the source of some annoying inconsistencies. Sometimes, randomly, it won't tamp properly (you get a wavy pattern on top). I bought a manual tamper to deal with those situations, but you don't always get the expected shot when you manually tamp because it compresses the 'puck' of coffee grinds differently to the built-in tamper. The other issue is that the knob on the side for selecting the grind size is imprecise because you need to turn it a lot to change the digital grind size. That makes it trickier to select a consistent grind size for a particular bean (e.g. 30 on the screen could be a low 30, middling 30 or high 30 depending on the exact position of the knob - there's no way of knowing). They need to option of having many more grind sizes to help consistency. Overall, it's expensive because of its problems, but it would be worth it if the grind size selection and auto-tamping were better.

Consistently good coffee, just too expensive
Consistently good coffee out of this machine, it’s quite compact and quite compared to my first machine. Dropped a star as it’s too expensive for what it is.

Ok but not Good
The Oracle Jet is a bit of mixed bag. It’s super convenient, quick to heat up and with some additional purchases produces high average coffee. It does not produce good or excellent coffee. The machine is supplied with a frankly ridiculous 21g basket; who in their right mind would want that much coffee in a drink. I can only assume this portion size was selected to cater for the larger American or perhaps cattle? Smaller baskets are available from more sensible retailers, but it would be nice if Sage supplied them with the machine (it’s already very expensive). The customisation available in various modes is less than I’d expect, it is just a computer so hopefully this can be addressed in a software update. Puck preparation is again, ok but not exceptional, I’d recommend using a tamper to smooth down the rough surface of the automatic puck. Auto milk is…..as you can probably guess, ok but not good or excellent. Overall, I’d expected more for the price point, the good news is that almost all of the problems and design flaws in this machine can be easily rectified either with some small inexpensive (relatively) purchases and I’m hoping Sage get their act together with the software to improve customisation in the future.

Superb coffee from the Oracle Jet
I bought the Sage Oracle Jet to replace my Sage Creatista Plus which broke after only 3 years. To be fair I was looking for a bean to cup machine anyway but thought my Creastista Plus would have lasted longer than it did. What are my first impressions having had the machine for a month now - well the coffee is just amazing. It really makes a huge difference getting bean to cup rather than the capsules. The machine has loads of options for all kinds of drinks. It really is superb so far. I do worry the steamer will play up like my other machine but so far so good. (I always clean if carefully after each cup) This machine isn't cheap but if you love a good cup of coffee, like to try coffee beans from all over the world, have an easy to use machine and you are looking for a great coffee made at home just like a good coffee shop look no further than the oracle Jet.

Game Changer
I bought this a month ago. A real game changer. Coffee has never been so good. I am glad I bought it. Just perfect!

Great machine with many useful updates over the Barista Touch
Great machine with many useful updates over the Barista Touch that its replaced. Main features which are very useful are the retractable wheels which makes moving the machine to get to the water tank much easier. The built in tamp and polish feature of the puck is useful and a lot less messy than doing it manually.

Very good coffee machine
Excellent , working well so far.

Nearly perfect
A good all rounder with just a few things added it would be perfect… it would be nice to be able to set the water temperature individually by drink and not just the milk temperature. It would also be nice to have specials like Latte Macchiato with a guide. It’s very straightforward to use and easy to set up, fully guided on screen. The 3 second to ready is a great help, no longer do you have to wait for boilers to heat up. Milk foam in auto mode is not as fine as the dual boiler Oracle but I’m sure an update could resolve that.
