Ideal for my use.
Ideal for my use....the individual switching of each of the 3 allows to the heat at various levels as well as heights ..and the oscillator function is useful but rarely used by me . My only concern is the percentage of power wasted as light ...? Recommended...compact. good value.

Good value and works well.
Does exactly what it claims. By no means an item of beauty, but warms up the room quickly and efficiently even using only two of the three heat settings. Good value for money. Just be aware that it won't work if you stand it on a deep pile rug or carpet! There's a cut-off switch under the base to turn it off if it falls over; it's a button that needs to be pressed in to make it work (as it would be if standing on a hard surface) but if you stand it on a carpet, the button won't be pushed in - took me a moment to figure out why!

Effective heater
I've used these heaters before and know they warm the room . Had this one just over a week and it's stopped turning. It isn't the end of the world that it won't turn, but it does make me wonder how long it's going to last.

This is the latest Beldray we've had: they don't have long lives. I set this up quite easily (much practice!) and it's working well.

Great little heater for the price!
Really impressed with how quickly this Beldray halogen heater warms up a room. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and gives off a nice cosy glow. Perfect for small spaces or when you just need a quick heat boost. Only downside, it cools down fast once switched off, but overall great value.

Hello Maxi,
The Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater has a tip over switch so if the heater falls over it turns off the heater.
The switch is on the bottom of the heater and for the heater to work it needs to be used on a flat level surface.
Please note: If the heater is used on a deep pile carpet the tip over switch may push through the carpet pile and prevent the heater from operating. If this is the case the heater may need to be placed on a harder surface.
Thank you for using Q&A

Hi Sue. At most this heater will cost 29-30p an hour, when all-three bulbs are lit, assuming you are on the current Price Cap, and pay by Direct Debit. The lowest setting, one bulb lit, would be around 10p an hour, and roughly 19.5p an hour with two bulbs lit.
Hello Sue,
The cost of operation will depend upon your electricity supplier and specific tariff. This is a 1.2 kW heater so uses 1.2 kW per hour.
For example, if your supplier charges 20p per kW hour then the cost would be 1.2 x 0.20 = £0.24 per hour to run at full power.
Thank you for using Q&A.
yes, we use ours in our frontroom with out oscillating, never had any problems
Hi There
Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater
Having checked I can see there is a button on the top to turn oscillating on and off so you can use with or without it oscillating.
