Not good so far but early days....
I am hoping it's early days but fingers crossed these few problems will fade.... hopefully.... completely froze at least at least twice and have had to restart and the remote has stopped working a few times. ...it seems to lag quite a lot too...all in all not very good for 300 quid...will update in a few weeks to see if there is some improvement...🤞🙏

Excellent Recorder
I bought this to replace my Humax recorder which developed fault. The machine was so simple to set up as talked you through it and super easy to use. Much more intuitive than old Humax recorder. Only thing to bear in mind as it has energy saving option both on machine and also via HD cable which if not turned off will turn machine off overnight. Other than this no issues and extremely pleased with it

Excellent Product!
The PVR works really well. Generally user friendly. The manual is not that comprehensive so it takes a while to work out to do some functions. I am used to a PVR that records 4 programmes at the same time so have had to adjust to recording only 2.

A dream to set up.
I've had the Manhattan T4-R 2TB for a week. It replaces my previous Manhattan which has moved to another room. It was a dream to set up - you just connect the leads, plug it in and turn it on and it sets itself up. It was easy to personalise it, e.g. delete the channels I don't watch, and set it so it didn't ask every time if I wanted to record it in HD. The skip forward and skip back is slower than my previous Manhattan and a but clunky (rather like watching Catch-up TV and trying to fast forward or rewind). But if that's the only slightly irritating thing then it's a very small complaint, and overall I'm very happy.

Exactly what wanted
Easy to set up and easy to use. Exactly what I wanted to replace out dated machine. Would recommend as a replacement

Hello Nannyval,
The Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder connects to your aerial for Freeview, while Wi-Fi is required for on-demand TV and additional features.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Naomi

Yes, that setup should work. You can plug the Manhattan T4-R into a smart TV via HDMI for Freeview/live TV and series-linked recordings and still use the smart TV’s own apps like Netflix and Disney+ separately.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Sam.
The supplier has confirmed. Yes, the Manhattan T4-R can be used with older TVs as long as the TV has an HDMI input, allowing you to watch and record Freeview channels, although you may not experience 4K resolution or all internet-based features.
Thank you for using Q&A

Hello Mandy,
I can advise the following for the Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder:
This is Freeview and not Freesat, you will need an Aerial connection.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for your query about the Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder.
The Manhattan T4-R 2TB box will need to be connected to a rooftop TV aerial signal to be able to tune in to the Freeview broadcast channels and to be able to record those broadcast channels. If Talking Pictures TV is a Freeview channel then you won't be able to get it without an aerial connection.
Any Catch Up and On Demand services can be accessed when the box is connected to the Internet. The Internet connection can be achieved using the Wi-Fi method of connection that the box supports. From the information we have available though, Talking Pictures TV does not have such Catch Up or On Demand services.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Jean,
Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder
No, this needs to be connected to a digital terrestrial aerial.
