Modern and slick
This was to replace an ageing Humax which finally gave up. It's so much smaller and lighter but with massive storage. Easy to set up and use. Buttons are small on the remote but that could be my age!!. Argos staff at Camborne lovely as always.

Poor picture
Dissapointed with this recorder. Freeview works great on our TV from our aerial but when the aerial is plugged in to the Manhattan recorder, the picture is jumpy or pixalated on many of the channels.

Almost the same as the Humax its replacing.
I bought this as my Humax was on the blink and misbehaving. I could see they were no longer available so I bought this to replace it. We are now working through the recordings on the Humax before it goes back to Argos uner warranty. As of now estill haven't opened the Manhatten box, hence we can only give 3 stars across the board.

Freeview TV Recorder.
Fairly easy to set up. I was under the impression it would record via WiFi, but it only records via an aerial connection which was disappointing as picture quality not great on some freeview channels. If this had been made clearer I wouldn't of purchased it.

Excellent Manhatten Freeview Box and Revorder
I bought this item a month ago to replace an old Humax machine that would not update. I'm extremely happy with the Manhattan Freeview unit, it was easy to set up the connectivity ,optical and HDMI ,we use both for our TV and soundbar they are both very good and the resolution is excellent. The unit has improved the picture beyond my expectation and it automatically upgrades your TV picture to the best quality it can handle. The dolby sound output is superb. The storage capacity of 1TB is excellent for our use.

Intuitive to use
Very pleased with this purchase. The Manhattan TV Recorder is very intuitive to use and feature rich. When my old BT recorder failed, I was able to order the replacement from Argos straightaway and collect the next day.

Manhattan v Humax
The Manhattan is ok, I've been using it for past 2 weeks. The recording of programs is different from my old Humax ie if recording 2 programs on the Manhattan at the same time, it will not allow you to watch another channel; I find I have to change to my TV remote, or watch a recording. Did not need to do this with the Humax, otherwise everything is fine.
