Excellent recordable TV box, easy to set up and use
This TV box is amazing it connected easily to the TV, it's easy to use and understand. Being able record 2 programs whiles watching another is great. The storage capacity is very good. The TV menu is great clear to see and use. Over the moon with it and purchased directly from Argos and collected same day. So far it's much better than a monthly Subscription service with Sky.its and amazing savings and it comes in HD. I also have the three years care cover on it, but it comes with 2 years manufacturer guarantee. I highly recommend the box and Argos.

Good replacement.
Bought to replace a faulty Humax which was 10 yrs old. The Manhatten is a good replacement with updated connectivity, so we've got i player also now. So far after 3 weeks use no complaints.

I already have a Manhatton vidio box and when my wife had to enter a care home she was lost without the box so the answer was to buy another, she now is more than content with her new box so thanks

would not recommend.
It works but not very quickly as the storage fills up. Can take over a second to respond to remote control buttons. Clumsy to use. Would not recommend.

Hello Phill,
I can advise the following for the Manhattan T4-R 500GB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder:
You can only record from the live Freeview channels, you won't be able to record from an external connected device such as a fire stick connected to your TV as the recorder won't see it.
Thanks for using Q & A.

Hello B Bee,
I can advise the following for the Manhattan T4-R 500GB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder:
Apologies, this isn't possible.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello,
The Manhattan T4-R needs a TV aerial for live Freeview channels and recording, but it requires a WiFi (or Ethernet) internet connection to access Freeview Play's catch-up services (like BBC iPlayer, ITVX) and on-demand content, plus software updates and programme images. You can use it without internet for basic live TV and recording, but you lose the "smart" features. It does not use a satellite dish; that's for Freesat.
Have a nice day!

Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Susie,
The supplier has advised the following for the Manhattan T4-R 500GB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder:
"The box can tune the channels if the Multiplexes are within the UHF band. However the EPG will differ from that of Freeview and scheduled recordings will not work in the same way as it does in Freeview EPG. We have not tested our box in Republic of Ireland to be able to comment on the full functionality and also you will not be able to access the On Demand services offered through Freeview."
Thank you for using Q&A.
