About this product

Pumpkin ‘Sweet Lightning’ produces orange-speckled white mini-pumpkins about 11cm in diameter. The compact plants suit smaller plots and containers, yielding sweet, roastable flesh perfect for soups and stews. Sow indoors March–May: sow 4cm deep in individual pots of pre-watered compost at 15–18°C and keep soil moist. Sow outdoors in June or plant out May–June when frost has passed, spacing plants 90cm apart. Harvest August–October and cure fruits in sunlight for 10–14 days to harden skins for storage. Water well and feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser once fruits begin to swell.Plant passport: 135813Westland Horticulture Ltd, 14 Granville Industrial Estate, Granville Road, Dungannon, BT70 1NJ, United Kingdom
