About this product

Thai Basil (Ocimum basilicum) with a distinctive liquorice flavour, ideal for Thai and oriental dishes. Suited to pots, window sills, patios and small gardens, it produces attractive purple flower spires that attract pollinators; pinch off young flowerbuds to avoid bitterness and prolong leaf harvest. Sow indoors January–December at 0.5 cm depth in small pots, keep at 15–20°C (60–68°F) until germination. Sow outdoors March–May direct at 0.5 cm depth, thin to 20 cm and plant out April–May. Sow every 2–3 weeks for a continuous supply.
